“I just wanted it to be true. We deserved this, a chance at happiness.”
“I know we did. Especially you.”
The Link is an upcoming series by Jen Stacey about the blurring of lines between the living, the dead, and all the things in-between.
Gemma Richardson has been trying to recover the memories she lost in a car accident, when she comes to discover that she isn’t as normal as she thought she was. There are Beings out there—mankind has often confused them for gods—both good and evil, who can use the dead to further their own goals. Over time, Gemma embraces her role as a Link, a bridge between those alive and those dead, but Dark Beings are out there who will stop at nothing to bring the Otherworld to our own.[[ Spread the word by telling your friends to follow us or our tags: the link books & the link books update.]]

We made you guys a promise, and some time during the night last night, we hit not 100, but 101 followers!
So here’s the surprise! For a limited time, Jen will be taking graphics related requests as long as they involve at least one of any members of our dreamcast! As rpers ourselves, we know that sometimes it can be difficult to find graphics related to your particular ship especially when the faces are not canonly shipped, so this surprise is of particular interest to rp blogs!
- Graphics requests can related to The Link directly or characters/situations of your choosing! Please be specific if you want a certain style/template of graphics, au scenarios, or any quotes/lyrics you want included, otherwise she will just surprise you.
- For examples of her work you can look here and here. (For gif requests, please include a link to a youtube video/clip you want used). Feel free to signal boost this post!
As always, we encourage you, the fans to become involved as well! We know the first book is not released yet, so there’s only so much you can do, but we will reblog graphics made and posted in the ’the link books’ tag! And you can feel free to use any of the quotes already posted in said graphics!

I Promise I’m Not a Murderer: The Story of a Researching Writer

I can feel her. Miles away, cities, worlds even, I can feel her. And it’s not about having the power of empathy, of sharing energy, because this goes beyond any power anyone could imagine holding alone. It’s the kind of power that takes more than one person to function. It’s love.
#just gonna reblog this again #because this doesn’t nearly have enough notes #can i ship this ship because that would be great #also the writing underneath the graphic is just great okay? #just…….sigh
They’re actually two of three side-characters from #2 of my upcoming book series that are getting much larger parts thanks to a collaboration between friends to write them out in an prose rp style to develop their characters! That quote will be featured in their sideline story (which may end up getting its own publication).
His character is a Link who can share energy with people—this includes emotions, memories, powers, occasionally thoughts—hence his comment about it being more than just his ability.
Sorry for the wall of text, he’s just always been one of my favorite characters I’ve created, and I’m excited to expand his side storyline!

He approached her from behind and immediately regreted it, thrown to the ground. This one was strong.
“I think you’ll find me not as easily swayed as your frequent conquests, Captain,” she told him with a defiant tone.
And he knew that tone right away. Leaning up, he caught her gaze, let her remember who he was.
Who he had been
“I know those eyes,” she whispered. “My angel…you helped me escape a fate worse than death at the hands of my own father. Then you…gave me my hands back.” She looked at them then.
”Flattered,” he told her, as he carefully stood up, “but I’m no angel. I was just once a boy who had a talent for healing. Not even him anymore really.”
